Position Overview

Halcyon Group International is seeking a Mid-Level Warning Analyst to support defense intelligence and national security missions in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Aurora, Colorado. The Warning Analyst will conduct all-source intelligence analysis and production to identify and assess threats to U.S. interests, provide strategic warning to defense and national security policymakers, mitigate strategic surprise, and support the development of informed defense and national security decisions. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The successful candidate will analyze intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain national security issues and developments. This position requires an experienced intelligence professional capable of working independently, integrating complex and sometimes incomplete information, collaborating across the Intelligence Community (IC), and producing concise, insightful intelligence products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all-source intelligence analysis and production to identify threats to U.S. interests, including threats to Defense Critical Infrastructure.
• Provide strategic warning analysis to defense and national security policymakers to help mitigate surprise and support strategic decision-making.
• Identify and analyze defense-related economic, social, political, scientific, and technological trends.
• Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain regional and functional national security issues.
• Provide all-source analytic support to intelligence collection, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence requirements.
• Support directed analytic tasks associated with the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP), Defense Foreign Materiel Program, DoD Analytic Agenda, Defense Acquisition System, and Technology Security Program.
• Analyze information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, technically advanced, or seemingly unrelated and develop defensible analytic conclusions.
• Structure analysis based on trends in reporting and incorporate analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
• Apply appropriate analytic methodologies and argument evaluation techniques to assess competing perspectives and challenge assumptions.
• Collaborate with other Intelligence Community members to facilitate information sharing, identify intelligence gaps, support collection requirements, and resolve analytic differences.
• Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive intelligence products for defense intelligence customers.
• Work independently with minimal oversight while effectively contributing to multidisciplinary analytic teams.
• Provide analytic guidance when researching multifaceted or critical intelligence problems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the Warning Analyst labor category, with at least a portion of that experience occurring within the last 2 years.
• Demonstrated experience conducting all-source intelligence analysis supporting defense, national security, strategic warning, threat analysis, or closely related intelligence missions.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate and analyze information from multiple intelligence and information sources.
• Ability to identify emerging threats, trends, indicators, and potential implications for U.S. defense and national security interests.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate analytic judgments clearly and effectively through written intelligence products and briefings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other analysts, organizations, and members of the Intelligence Community.
• Experience applying structured analytic techniques, analytic methodologies, or argument evaluation to complex intelligence problems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Education substitution: An additional 4 years of experience in the specific labor category, for a total of 7 years of relevant experience, may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.

Security Clearance

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required. Applicants must possess the required clearance and polygraph at the time of application.

The Senior All-Source Analyst meets the qualifications and capabilities of the Mid-Level Analyst and brings advanced expertise, analytic tradecraft, and the ability to independently address complex intelligence requirements.

Responsibilities and Capabilities

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of All-Source Analyst activities required to meet mission requirements.
• Apply mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and remain knowledgeable of developments in academia and other fields affecting intelligence tradecraft.
• Define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments of complex and high-level intelligence requirements.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge-management issues across organizational and Intelligence Community boundaries.
• Clearly articulate key findings and analytic judgments.
• Work independently with minimal oversight.
• Review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, sourcing, and adequate support for conclusions.
• Routinely evaluate and test the analytic rigor of intelligence products.

For the advanced education/experience qualification, candidates may possess a related Master’s degree, or a related Bachelor’s degree plus an additional 5 years of related senior-level experience, for a total of 17 years of relevant experience, as a substitute for the Master’s degree.

Halcyon Group International is seeking a Mid-Level Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Analyst to support anticipated defense intelligence requirements in the National Capital Region (Washington, DC / Northern Virginia) and Aurora, Colorado. This is a full-time, onsite position contingent upon contract award.

GEOINT Analysts conduct geospatial analysis of objects, networks, persons, and activities using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, imagery, and relevant social and physical science information. Analysis may include terrain assessment and mapping, route analysis and planning, maritime geospatial activity, pattern and trend identification, and integration of geospatial information with other intelligence disciplines.

What We’re Looking For

We are particularly interested in cleared GEOINT professionals who combine strong analytic tradecraft with hands-on experience using geospatial data, imagery, mapping platforms, and spatial analysis tools in support of defense or Intelligence Community missions.

Relevant technical experience may include:

• Esri ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise

• Geospatial databases, data management, and spatial-query tools
